Improving Your Community

Introduction

The fundamental purpose of the Great Rivers Greenway District mission--to create a clean, green and connected region--is to enrich the quality of life for resident's of the St. Louis region.  The significant progress the District has made in its first ten years of operation has begun to fulfill the promise of creating a legacy for future generations.

In 2011, as part of the update to its regional plan, Great Rivers Greenway identified five goals which support making the St. Louis region a better place to live.
