The Great Rivers Greenway District providing matching funds for Federal and private funding for the planning, design and site development of the Mary Meachum Freedom Crossing. The site is the first nationally designated Underground Railroad site in the State of Missouri. The Mary Meachum Freedom Crossing is located on the Mississippi River in the City of St. Louis.
