The Monarch Chesterfield Levee Trail is apart of the Missouri River Greenway. This segment will become a 17-mile loop, running primarily along perimeter of Chesterfield Valley in St. Louis County.

Status

A contiguous six mile segment has been completed from the Hardee's Ice Rink to the Chesterfield Valley Athletic Club and then under Hwy 40 by Rombach's Farm.  Look for a collection of old headstones that were donated from the Rombach family.  This segment is being extended to Howell Island and Centaur Road in Wildwood.  Construction of the segment to Centaur is scheduled to be completed in the Fall of 2011.

Another 2 mile segment has been complete on the Monarch Levee from Long Rd to Baxter Rd.  A small parking lot is available off of Eatherton for trail.
