Since 2002, Great Rivers Greenway has provided funds to Trailnet, Inc. to make possible year-round public access to the Old Chain of Rocks Bridge, an important bicycle and pedestrian link between Missouri and Illinois. The district also provided funds for necessary structural repairs to the bridge in 2004, and for the construction of restrooms and signage in 2005.
